Slovakia is a young, progressive country. During twenty years of its existence we've gone through dynamic changes, new things emerge every day. We surprise the world by our advanced technical level which goes hand in hand with human touch. New companies are founded every day, new objects or city landmarks emerge, life conditions are improving, but we keep our traditional values as well. This is Slovakia.

Occupying both banks of the River Danube and the left bank of the River Morava, Bratislava lies in the southwest Slovakia as the only national capital that borders two independent countries. It was due to its location that Bratislava became the capital and coronation town of the Hungarian Kingdom in the 16th century, as well as the place where its crown jewels were kept. In the past, Slovakia’s largest city was known mainly as Pressburg or Pozsony, since it got its present name only 90 years ago. Nowadays its name is not only well established, but as the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava is the political, cultural and economic centre of Slovakia.
With the combination of urban environment and the beauty of the longest river in EU, vast vineyards and green hills surrounding the city, Bratislava offers a variety of activities to any visitor. While visiting the city, its historic parts will reveal pictoresque alleys full of various cafés, restaurants, stores and cultural spots that express the variety of Bratislava. New combined with historical, originally Pressburg and now Bratislava. As a past home to Celts, Romans, Hungarians, Germans, Jews and Slovaks and a current home to Slovaks from different parts of the country, as well as residents from all over the world, Bratislava offers an impressive range of architecture, languages and cuisine.
